All done and still cant install malwarebytes . <bytes not listed in programs and features but then most installed programs aren't listed. They disappeared when all this started though they still work if I have a shortcut for them, they aren't in start menu either. All programs except those beginning with Mi to Mo vanished. Anything I installed after they disappeared is showing there.

I get the same message.

Yes rebooted and still error 5 access denied when trying to install malwarebytes (incidentally my normal AVG free anti virus also stopped working some weeks back and wont install either so several weeks without virus protection).

I was wondering if I was still getting help and came here to have a look. I thought I would get email alerts - anyway - have done this but still get the same access denied error 5 when trying to install malwarebytes.
