  1. Hi daledoc1 Yes, it's my personal computer, but I use it for work. I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit if that info is of any use. Chris_P
  2. I have an Excel spreadsheet which contains cells which automatically update themselves from a local DDE server. The program has always worked properly until I updated MBAM to version 2 yesterday. Since then, as soon as I enable the automatic update of links in the spreadsheet, Excel shows as not responding. Viewing the problem details shows this: Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. Problem signature: Problem Event Name: AppHangXProcB1 Application Name: EXCEL.EXE Application Version: 12.0.6683.5002 Application Timestamp: 520bb25f Hang Signature: 0c91 Hang Type: 32 Waiting on Application Name: mbam.exe Waiting on Application Version: 1.0.0.500 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 2057 Additional Hang Signature 1: 0c91d641e1923662d084b2be3123fcba Additional Hang Signature 2: 1f98 Additional Hang Signature 3: 1f98ff383a7d116a754c4f90b25c267d Additional Hang Signature 4: 0c91 Additional Hang Signature 5: 0c91d641e1923662d084b2be3123fcba Additional Hang Signature 6: 1f98 Additional Hang Signature 7: 1f98ff383a7d116a754c4f90b25c267d Read our privacy statement online: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=104288&clcid=0x0409 If the online privacy statement is not available, please read our privacy statement offline: C:\Windows\system32\en-US\erofflps.txt From the above, it is apparent that MBAM looks to be the cause. Is there a way to stop it from scanning Excel in real time? Or is there another solution to the issue? As soon as I exit MBAM, Excel starts working properly. All help appreciated, thanks.
