  1. I suggest offering a per use price for this product eg buy 20 uses for $60. Your current pricing of about $400 with unlimited use - will only sell to the larger tech business. You are limiting your market. Your slogan of about a $1 a day is way off beam. How many tech business's work 365 days a year ? I have long wanted a scanning product that when I put a customer's hard disc in my PC - it will scan the registry as well as the usual file scan. But I estimate I only want to do this once a week.
  2. Thanks Deity Yes I knew that existing PC's with the combined Malwarebytes and Microsoft Security Essentials will be perepetually protected, and that the combination of those 2 programs is about as good as it gets for protection - while still be a virtually no maintenance solution with minimal pop-ups to puzzle the mums and dad users. My point is that I will not do this in future ie. I will not be buying Premium whereas I bought hundreds of Pro for my customers. I note your point about MS Security Essentials is not good enough by itself - particularly with the takover of many PC's with PUP's, which are not virus's but are making the internet so slow for users because their internet browsing is redirected through slow advertiser's servers in the US. Most anti virus's programs did not flag PUP's in the past - but that seems to be changing. So I am now looking at what to do in future - Comodo perhaps. Perpetual licenses are what I want - not subscriptions. I don't mind the initial cost.
  3. I am not happy about going to the subscription model. I have installed Malwarebytes Pro on hundreds of my customers PC's - usually in conjunction with Microsoft Security Essentials. This was a great solution for my mums and dads client who are not very PC literate, and many do not buy anything online. A no maintenance solution for people who are bad at maintenance of their PC's. I will not be buying Malwarebytes Premium for these customers because of the annual subscription. Furthermore - the subscription is overpriced when you consider it as an addon to the other anti virus program needed. Mbam is not a complete protection. I can see my customers getting two demands for subscription reminders at different times in the same year. You have increased the annoyance factor of using a PC. Please add a Malwarebytes Pro perpetual license to the range. It can be a higher price - say $40.
  4. When I install Malwarebytes Pro on my customers PC's in Windows 7 - I change the Notification option to " show Icon and Notifications". This is so the user can see that it is activated because the program icon is always visible in the notification area at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Unfortunately the upgrade to V2.0 changes that option back to " only show notifications". Can you change the upgrade to leave the notification as it was prior to the upgrade ?
  5. Hi I have noticed that in a no of PC's when I have removed XP Defender Pro and similar roques by using Malwarebytes, that on restart the file association for .exe has been changed to nothing ie it is missing. The effect of this is that you cannot run programs such as Malwarebytes and Windows Explorer. This .exe association can be repaired in XP by using Doug Knox's fix at http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm There is a similar .exe fix available for Vista and Windows 7 at http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/file-ass...-for-windows-7/ One characteristic of the .exe problem is that it only seems to affect some user accounts ie doesn't affect the admin user account in safe mode. Note that the .exe patch must be run in an affected user account. Has anyone else come across this happening?
