Trojan.Agent svchost.exe / Alureon

Recommended Posts

Thought I was pretty careful about not clicking unfamiliar links, but seem to gotten myself into some trouble here. Was trying to find the xvid codec a few weeks ago and ended up downloading a file named XvidSetup.exe by mistake. It was obviously malicious, but didn't realize until too late. MSE flagged it and removed it at the time, and I thought I was in the clear until yesterday, when whatever I downloaded started hijacking my search results in google & bing.

MSE came up with Alureon.A, Alureon.FK, and a java exploit. Malwarebytes is coming up with trojan.agent running as svchost.exe. Regardless of what it is, it reappears every time I reboot and is trying to dial out to a range of IP addresses and I can't seem to get rid of it.

Logs will be closed if you haven't replied within 3 days

Please don't attach the scans / logs for these tools, use "copy/paste".

DO NOT use any TOOLS such as Combofix or HijackThis fixes without supervision.

Doing so could make your pc inoperatible and could require a full reinstall of your OS, losing all your programs and data.

Please run a new MBAM scan being sure to update before scanning.

Post the scan results

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
