I have ads popping up, conduit.

Recommended Posts

Hi, on my laptop the problem of viruses popping up on my laptop has become increasingly worse.  It usually happens in the browser, sometimes on the home screen.  I scanned with Malwarebytes' and activated the free trial, but when I restarted my laptop (which was hard to do), it didn't appear in the tray again.  It removed about 200 items, most of them potentially unwanted programs.  The computer runs really slowly and after scanning and stuff, its proving to be the conduit virus, and it hasn't gone away.

I have a windows vista business addition laptop, 2GB, 32bit.  It has service pack 2, but I'm not sure if I need to update it or not?  Whenever I look things up, ads appear and some links turn into ads so I'm not going to look it up.  I decided to come here to get extra help in removing the software since I'm no professional. :(

Thanks,

Nicole

I think I need a dds log too, but I'd rather get the direct link to it from you guys.
