Malwarebytes slows system start up.

Recommended Posts

I installed and activated Malwarebytes on my old pc today (Clean install of Windows, fully updated). But after a reboot it takes around 4-5 minutes to get the desktop icons up. I have disabled malwarebytes from start up through msconfig and it now displays desktop icons instantly. There seems to be an issue with malwarebytes. I already checked other forums on this website and downloaded the mbamcheck and dds.scr, I have attached the CheckResults.txt, dds.txt and attach.txt here. Hopefully the issue gets resolved! :)

Not sure why but BITS seems to have had trouble loading and then later on MBAM did which may be because of BITS.

Please restart the computer and then try running a clean removal and reinstall and see if that corrects the issue and let us know.

It didn't work, desktop still takes ages to bring up icons. I did realise that I did the mbamcheck and dds.scr while malwarebytes was disabled through msconfig, not sure if that is an issue but I redone it, but can't re upload it.

But I also have this other issue, when I boot into Windows and after the desktop icons show up, the malwarebytes malicious website protection will not enable for some reason, I did check settings and it is set to enable when Windows signs in. When I try to enable it again it enables then disables straight away :(
