Proxy settings checked

Dear MBAM forum,

 

I am running:-

 

Malwarebytes anti-malware 1.75.0.3100

 

I have developed a problem,  in the internet settings the proxy server keeps getting checked. I don’t use any proxy so google chrome cannot access the internet. By removing the check on proxy server I can use google chrome again.

I recognised the problem with the registry internet settings and deleted the two keys as in step 2 of the solution. Proxy enable was already 0.

 

Can I have some MBAM advice to prevent this from happening again?

If your proxy settings keep getting enabled on their own, then most likely you are infected. Also in case you were not aware, there is a new version of Malwarebytes available as mentioned HERE
