  1. Hi guys, I Just purchased a addon for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and on installing I got the message that Realtime protection has blocked malware from installing. I am not sure if it is a false positive as it's a popular addon yet I've heard nothing on the internet regarding this software coming up as malware. I downloaded it from SimMarket where such files are purchased and was recommended by the developer. I downloaded with the CDN-server option. I also tried the German server option but both were stopped which is concerning. Anyway to find out if it's a false positive or not? I Posted my experience on the MSFS forums just after the devs post so I'm expecting a reply very soon. If it is Malware others should be warned. I'm thinking it's a false positive as none else has mentioned any issues. I'm running Windows 11 Pro, I have core isolation memory integrity off as my PC because it wont boot if I enable XMP in bios with my Gigabyte Aorus z490 Ultra motherboard after updating to the latest BIOS with a i7 10700K which included the security vulnerability patches. Before updating to the latest BIOS's I could enable XMP fine and set my Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 32GB (2x16) memory to run at 3200Mhz. I need my memory overclock for Microsoft flight simulator 2020 so I did this after working out what was causing my PC to boot loop after updating the bios and enabling XMP with isolation enabled in Windows Security. Not sure if turning that on would change anything but I have to disable XMP first. I also cant revert to earlier BIOS's as they capsuled the latest security patches so can't undo what broke XMP for me in my motherboard BIOS sadly unless I get a fix from Windows or Corsair. Gigabyte said they cant' do anything even though I got the bios from them. 2. Yes leaving ransomware on in Malwarebytes will break windows after restarting. I was in a situation that windows wouldn't boot or recognise the drives somehow I was able to get into windows after many attempts and restore to a earlier point and unchecked the option in Malwarebytes which instantly fixed it. The problem is Malwarebytes keeps asking to turn the option back on and I one night when I was tired I pressed okay instead of closing the window which turned on Ransomware and on next boot I had the issue. Malwarebytes should give us the option to turn this off or the software should do it until the issue is fixed, this really breaks the PC and is hard to get back into windows once the issue starts. I have to be careful not to accidentally turn it back on as it asks me to turn on all protection very day!
  3. I did a fresh install and installed Malwarebytes premium but the Application doesn't show up in the All Apps list in the start memu. If I search for Malwarebytes it comes up empty I have to search for Mbam to be able to start it from search. I have no way to drag it into the start menu tiles to create a shortcut. In the new Windows 10 settings under Apps and features it has Malwarebytes listed there with it's size. Anyone else having this issue?
  4. Windows defender keeps turning on in Windows 10, it used to stay off when I had Malwarebytes and Kaspersky Antivirus 2015 is this a problem. I think windows keeps automatically turning Windows defender back on.
  5. No errors or bad sectors found. It's a new Samsung EVO 500Gb SSD
  6. Hi all and thanks for helping, I noticed in the even log that Malwarebytes keeps having the same errors. Is this anything to worry about? {Registry Hive Recovered} Registry hive (file): '\??\C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\S-1-5-21-1757742793-95811025-3271470530-1001-0-ntuser.dat' was corrupted and it has been recovered. Some data might have been lost. Thanks in advance.
