Trojan agent removal - need assistance please

Recommended Posts

I have the exact same problem. It started after I downloaded Malwarebytes and it removed several trojen agents. The agents kept allowing pop ups even though the pop up blocker was on. Now, I have the pop up blocker at maximum and it keeps giving me warning signs that pop ups were stopped. Even when the program is just wanting to open another window.  Example yahoo.com.  I click on a yahoo clip and the warning window comes up saying it blocked it and wants to know if I want to allow it once.

The maywarebytes window continues to say 162.210.192.21 (the last two numbers change to a few others) was blocked.  Do I follow the instructions noted in this thread?

Hello and welcome to Malwarebytes.

I am Andro1d and I will be assisting you with your computer problem today.

Please keep these following points in mind.

  • If you are a paying customer, you have the privilege to contact the help desk at Consumer Support. If you choose this option to get help, please let me know.
  • In the upper right hand corner of this topic there is a button labeled Follow this topic. Please click this button, make sure Receive notification is checked, and Instantly is selected from the drop down menu. Then click Follow this topic to ensure you are notified when I reply.
  • The fixes that I post are specific to your problem and should only be used on this machine.
  • The process is not instant so I highly recommend you follow my directions until I tell you your machine is clean. An absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
  • Please do not attach any log files to your replies unless I specifically ask you. Instead please copy and paste the logs into your reply.
  • Please read all of my response through at least once before attempting any of the instructions I give you. I would recommend printing them out, if you can, as you can check off each step as you complete it. If there's anything you don't understand or isn't totally clear, please come back to me for clarification before you proceed.
  • Please click the Post button when you are ready to post.

Please be aware that removing malware is a potentially hazardous undertaking. I will take care not to knowingly suggest courses of action that might damage your computer. However it is impossible for me to foresee all interactions that may happen between the software on your computer and those we'll use to clear you of infection, and I cannot guarantee the safety of your system. It is possible that we might encounter situations where the only recourse is to re-format and re-install your operating system, or to necessitate you taking your computer to a repair shop.

Because of this, I highly recommend you make sure any important files on your computer are backed up externally.

Now in order for us to continue, please read the Instructions and post the requested logs. Please make sure to copy and paste the logs into your post as opposed to attaching them. We need the information in order to help.
