  1. Kevin, Thank you so much for your help. All of your directions were precise and easy to follow. Without a doubt, this is the best customer service I have ever received. All is accomplished and you can close this out. Thanks again. OmahaGal
  2. Kevin .. Regarding the ESET scan ... it said "No Threats Found". OmahaGa; AdwCleanerS0.txt JRT.txt
  3. We should wait until you can review the report for this scan .. but if I need to redo this scan, it might be easier to just close Firefox and start it again using IE ?
  4. Hi Kevin, I have been checking the ESOT scan regularly. When I was about 60% of the way through, I found a popup informing me that since I was using a Browser other than IE .. I had to uninstall this program as soon as the scan is finished. Seems I need to install something different, but I'm not sure what. I have not stopped the scan, nor have I uninstalled. Thought I had better ask your advice first. If I need to uninstall, and reinstall .. can you check to see the correct version I am supposed to install? Do you still want the record for this scan or should I just kill it now? Thank you. OmahaGal
  5. Kevin, here are the next two files. So far, so good. :-) Fixlog.txt MBAM Scan Log 05-02.txt
  6. Last night I upgraded Firefox to the new chrome version which installed perkda and another program I cannot recall the name of as "ride along" installations. I immediately began to get unwanted popups and redirects. I have the paid version of malwarebytes and it removed some of the software but not perkda. I also ran Spybot and it also removed some stuff. I went in and manually removed perkda. I decided to run malwarebytes again (after udating it) and I got a popup asking me to run it as Admin. and I checked Yes. The popup would not go away. It seemed like it was stuck in a loop and kept coming back. I tried to kill it with Task Mgr but that did not work. I tried rebooting and it came back. I finally had to turn it off manually (stop showing) just for sanity. This morning when I logged onto my computer my browser was extremely slow and acting like it could barely connect to the internet. So I decided to uninstall Firefox and then reinstall it. When I reinstalled Firefox it did not install the new chrome version but went back to the previous version. Now Firefox refused to allow me to go to any website. It gave me a message that the certificate was no good and "get me out of here" option. Initially it did this for every website I tried to join, including google search. LOL I gave up and turned the computer off for an hour or so to have a rest. When I turned it back on, Firefox seemed to be allowing most websites, but with exceptions. I am totally unable to access Facebook, for example (doesn't like the certificate and gives me the "get me out of here" option). My browser is running very slow and I suspect that is because it is redirecting me. It seems to "hang up". I suspect a virus or a virus "like" infection. I would appreciate any help getting me going again. I would love to be able to get on Facebook again. Thanking you in advance. OmahaGal Addtl info if this helps: I have a Dell Inspiration 17R, running Win8, 64 bit. Intel Core i17-3630 QM processor with 8 gb ddr3 and plenty of hard drive space. Just thought having this info might be helpful. :-)
  7. I went through the process to reinstall. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. I am very happy with the update. Thanks.
  8. I will do the general easy fix: "Download the program for a clean uinstall .. uninstall the program .. then reinstall it from scratch". BUT I won't pay for another year of this kind of fix. Thank you.
  9. I keep getting a popup that I need to click here to update. When I do, It downloads the update, then tells me to click to turn off malwarebytes and install the update. I click and it opens up malwarebytes and does not install anything. Its done thing about 3-4 times a day I have even installed Malwarebytes 3-4 times MANUALLY and it still tells me I need to update. Thanks for any assistance.
