Well my computer has pretty much stopped working. Can anyone tell me why malwarebytes won't remove the problems and freezes?

I was having some issues with my computer so I downloaded malwarebytes and ran the full system scan. When it was finished it said I had 77 malicious objects on my computer. When I click on fix problems the program freezes. I tried running a quick scan and the same thing happened. Is there anything else I can do to remove these items? Thanks
