DISABLING MBAM?

I'm in the process of upgrading my firewall and it's recommended that prior to installing, all other security programs are temporarily disabled. Trouble is, I

cannot find anywhere in MBAM where I can initiate this, am I blind or just plain thick!

Hi and welcome to the forums.

If you're running the Free version of Malwarebytes, then there is nothing to 'disable'. If you have the PRO version, the only thing that would be blocked would be a file trying to execute on the system. You would then be alerted and you would need to decide how to proceed. Naturally, if you know the file to be good, you would allow it to run.

To disable the Protection Module, tho this is not likely needed to be done, right-click the system tray icon and select 'Exit'.

I'm sorry, I omitted to point out that I'm running the "Free" program.

As there's no disable setting, I guess I must leave it as it is but could there a possible conflict with the firewall when installing?

Sorry if this seems a dumb question for you, but my knowledge of computers etc. is extremely basic.
