Runtime error

Oh how nice, it looks like MBAM was trying to update itself automatically. I didn't know it would do this. I found MBAM setup running in the background. My guess is for some reason, MBAM couldn't handle exiting without crashing. Now I have a screwed up installation. Yeah, I have nothing else to do with my time than deal with this...

Typically the 2 most common reasons for failure are:

1. Current Malware on the system blocking installations and updates.

2. Damage from previous infections to the system files and registry.

It's quite possible though that it is due to some other issue. Please post the following logs into a NEW post in this forum: http://www.malwarebytes.org/forums/index.php?showforum=7

and we'll see if we can help you track down what might be causing it.

Download
DDS
and save it to your desktop

Disable any script blocker if your Anti-Virus/Anti-Malware has it.

Once downloaded you can disconnect from the Internet and disable your Ant-Virus temporarily if needed.

Then double click
dds.scr
to run the tool.

When done, the
DDS.txt
will open.

Click Yes at the next prompt for Optional Scan.
When done, DDS will open two (2) logs:

  1. DDS.txt
  2. Attach.txt

  • Save both reports to your desktop
  • Please include the following logs in your next reply:
    DDS.txt
    and
    Attach.txt
