  2. From RD zoomster, this is a known bug with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware. It is suggested you go to the Settings tab and uncheck "Extra and heuristics scan" for the time being. The bug will be fixed this weekend. Hi Gentlemen, has this problem been fixed yet? Thanks in anticipation zoomster

"this is just an example of a report....each time I run a scan, I get different files infected but only with Malwarebytes...the other scanners report nothing..."
  7. However, I used to have Comodo.....which, I uninstalled 2 months ago
  8. Hi RD, I use ESET Security Suite. Best Regards
  9. Here is today's scan with the latest Malwarebytes.....I do not use this computer for surfing. Thanks Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.05 Database version: 410 Scan type: Quick Scan Objects scanned: 29768 Time elapsed: 4 minute(s), 25 second(s) Memory Processes Infected: 0 Memory Modules Infected: 0 Registry Keys Infected: 0 Registry Values Infected: 0 Registry Data Items Infected: 0 Folders Infected: 0 Files Infected: 4 Memory Processes Infected: (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Values Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Data Items Infected: (No malicious items detected) Folders Infected: (No malicious items detected) Files Infected: C:\WINDOWS\krag.exe (Worm.Dorcrag) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. 10. I run scans with ESET, SAS, ThreatFire and Malwarebytes..... Today I ran ESET, Threatfire and SAS and they came up with clean reports. At the same time, I run Malwarebytes, it comes up with the following infection reports: Files Infected: C:\WINDOWS\9129837.exe (Rootkit.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. Files Infected: C:\lich.exe (Rootkit.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. Files Infected: C:\WINDOWS\Temp\winlogon.exe (Rootkit.Dropper) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully. C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows\oohsbn.exe (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully These infection reports came up each time I ran Malwarebytes....in the space of 1 hour...that is 4 reports, 4 different types of infections. Are they for real? I use the resident full version of malwarebytes. The three other programs can find nothing. Can someone please help? Thanks in anticipation
  11. Thanks for your constructive answers...still, the question was alluding to the fact that each of these anti-malware programs have different ways of preempting attacks when resident in memory. So, the question is still valid: do you need more than one program resident in memory to save yourself from future attacks or having only one does the job very well as they all work the same way...then, as you say, you can use them on demand to check for the nasties that escaped. I am still a bit confused. Best Regards to all
  12. I have just purchased the full version of Malwarebytes after trialling it for 2 months and being impressed with its capabilities. Now that I have the full version, I have decided to keep the programme in memory so that I can have constant vigilance over the nasties of the universe. However, I also run the following: ESET Security Suite SuperAntispyware (full version in memory) ThreatFire (in memory) Do I need t run them all together or will just Malwarebytes do the combined job of SuperAntispyware and ThreatFire? I like the ESET Suite for its simplicity and the fact that the ESET guys always deliver. Any help would be appreciated and thank you for a great product. zoomster
