I downloaded and ran Malwarebytes as suggested on malwaretips.com to remove some PUP issues a friend of mine was having with SearchProtection.exe on their laptop. After running the program and restarting however, I was unable to get any of the browsers to open properly. I tried to make adjustments to the firewall settings as Windows suggested. I also tried to uninstall one of the browsers and reinstall via an exe from my jump drive, but I got an error that the program was unable to connect to the internet. I checked the network settings and everything appeared to be OK. I tried to Google an answer to the issue. I found several threads with Malwarebytes users experiencing the same issue, but with no clear cut solution. Given the likelihood of this problem, I would have thought there to be some type of a warning with the download regarding the potential dangers of using the program. I know that this company conceeds that the program is not the issue, and points to the severity of the Malware as the source of the problem. However, I didn't read anything regarding SearchProtection.exe to indicate that it was a severe program crippling issue. Nor have I ever encountered anything like this using a novice Malware removal tool previously. Frustrated by all this, I then tried to restore the system back prior to the installation of Malwarebytes, however, I am now getting bombared with relenting pop ups from all of the disabled PUP files stating that the files are missing. The browsers are also still not functioning.  So, any insight to this would be greatly appreciated.

Hello and post-32477-1261866970.gif

P2P/Piracy Warning:

If you're using Peer 2 Peer software such as uTorrent, BitTorrent or similar you must either fully uninstall them or completely disable them from running while being assisted here.

Failure to remove or disable such software will result in your topic being closed and no further assistance being provided.

If you have illegal/cracked software, cracks, keygens etc. on the system, please remove or uninstall them now and read the policy on Piracy.

Run the following please and post the two produced logs...

Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system (32 bit or 64 bit). If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
Press Scan button.
It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.
