  1. I ran Delfix and everything still appears to be working well and as designed. Thank you Kevin. I really appreciate all your help. The Malwarebytes software, AND this forum, have both proved once again to be invaluable lifesavers.
  2. Everything seems to be working fine now. I can open both windows explorer and the Malwarebytes software without that security error. You are the man Kevin. I have had to use this site quite a few times in trying to get other peoples computers back up and running again, but, by far, you provided both the quickest response AND resolution time I have yet experienced. So thank you so very much for that. If I may, what did I have?
  3. And the Dr.Web Cureit log.... cureit.log
  4. ADWcleaner log.... AdwCleanerS0.txt
  5. OK, RE the Malwarebytes scan, no malicious items detected, and no prompt for restart. Log results attached.... mbamLog.txt
  6. Fixlog.txt attached... Fixlog.txt
  7. And then the RogueKiller logs... RKreport_SCN_10082014_040655.log
  8. My apologies, here are the files... FRST.txt Addition.txt
  9. Just a few hours ago, my laptop started acting oddly, prompting an "on demand" scan from both my AV program and Malwarebytes. The trouble that elicited the panic was an inability to open first Windows Explorer, and then the Malwarebytes program itself. So I performed an "on demand" scan with my AV program, ESET. This resulted in 2 "inflitrations". They were subsequently "cleaned" supposedly. But just to be sure, I wanted to run Malwarebytes. And it started up and ran with no problem. Further, it found nothing. However, I then ran ESET's scan again, and it came back with 9 "infiltrations". And again, ran Malwarebytes, only to find nothing. I would greatly appreciate some professional guidance as to how to ensure that this system is clean as I use it for everything, including work. Thanks in advance....
  10. Thanks for all your help Elise. I really appreciate it.
  11. OK.... As per your instructions, I ran the ESET scanner and generated the log contents pasted below. I do have one question though: I unchecked the "Fix infected files" box, was I supposed to do this? I made sure that "Scan Archives" was selected but your instructions didn't have any mention of the "Fix infected files" box, so I figured just to be safe, I unchecked it, knowing that I could just run the scan again and leave it checked off, if needed. Anyway, here's the logfile contents: C:\Users\rich\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\15\4fcd05cf-310181bf probably a variant of Java/TrojanDownloader.Agent.AB trojan C:\Users\rich\Downloads\Win-32.Trojan.Keylogger-Removal-Tool.exe probably unknown NewHeur_PE virus
  12. And sorry for the delay in posting the logs. I just ran the scans and posted them in the order that they finished. Everything seems to be running fine. I just wanted to be sure that every trace of that thing is gone. Thanks for all your help though. I really appreciate all the time and effort you have put into helping me.
  13. And then, as per your instructions, here is the MB "Full Scan" log file: Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.44 Database version: 3833 Windows 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18882 3/7/2010 11:40:52 AM mbam-log-2010-03-07 (11-40-52).txt Scan type: Full Scan (C:\|D:\|) Objects scanned: 250000 Time elapsed: 1 hour(s), 9 minute(s), 35 second(s) Memory Processes Infected: 0 Memory Modules Infected: 0 Registry Keys Infected: 0 Registry Values Infected: 0 Registry Data Items Infected: 0 Folders Infected: 0 Files Infected: 0 Memory Processes Infected: (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Values Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Data Items Infected: (No malicious items detected) Folders Infected: (No malicious items detected) Files Infected: (No malicious items detected)
  14. Hello again Elise. OK, dunno where I picked up the Bit torrent app, but I deleted it. I do have an anti virus program in the form of McAffee Security Suite. I know, I know, its not the best. I'd much rather use something like Avira or ESET, but this came with the computer, and I still have a bunch of time left on the subscription. I don't know why it wouldn't show up in any of the scans as being installed. Anyway, I have pasted the ComboFix log results below: ComboFix 10-03-06.06 - rich 03/07/2010 10:14:04.2.2 - x86 Microsoft
  15. K....Renaming it seemed to work just fine. So, here's the log file generated by Combofix: ComboFix 10-03-06.06 - rich 03/07/2010 2:37.1.2 - x86 Microsoft
