malwarebytes 5.0 system tray bug.
John L. Galt replied to brad03's topic in Malwarebytes 5 for Windows
Interesting. I didn't even realize this was not Qt based, though I am really glad to hear that. Glad a fix was found, too! -

malwarebytes 5.0 system tray bug.
John L. Galt replied to brad03's topic in Malwarebytes 5 for Windows
I think the important thing to note here is that this is version specific. As Brad noted, v4 didn't exhibit this behavior, and further testing can support that. So, while the System Tray functionality, in and of itself, is not under control of MB, interactions with the tray are. Something about the new software is interacting differently than the older v4, and thus causing this issue. -
Not everyone needs the dashboard to be editable, either. That being said, it would definitely be a good idea to have it as an option for those who want it to be editable. I hope this becomes an optional feature. While I'm not annoyed or irked by the current interface, I wouldn't mind being able to turn off the VPN report, as I have no plans to ever use the MB VPN as I use my own.

Malwarebytes 5.0.15.93 more issues.

Are you referring to the Online Privacy section of the Dashboard? -
Malwarebytes 5.0.15.93 more issues.

I'm the same way - I don't need the VPN, so the lifetime license for MB is enough for me. -

My grandfathered lifetime license is working perfectly in v5, so my guess is that you won't need to revert to v4. I only installed v5 on this build, which I clean installed Windows back in August - it's never had MB4 on it. -
This is also happening here even on v5.0.15.93. Quite annoying. System tray icon right click ignores theme: Taskbar icon follows system theme:

Malwarebytes 5.0.15.93 more issues.
John L. Galt replied to brad03's topic in Malwarebytes 5 for Windows
Yeah, same here - both 5.0.15.93 and the previous 5.0.14.89 did not have any update loops - because I manually check for updates a couple times a day, and more often than not I simply get -
Has Malwarebytes 5.0 been officially released?
John L. Galt replied to brad03's topic in Malwarebytes 5 for Windows
Indeed, this is good to know, thanks! -
Hi, Per FP on GitHub-hosted application WiGui - aka WinGet GUI. Report: WiGUI FP.txt Please let me know if I need to submit anything else.
-
Just downloaded the latest pre-release version of WiGUI, aka WinGet Install GUI, from https://github.com/Romanitho/Winget-Install-GUI/releases/tag/v1.9.2 And MB5 is reporting it as Malware. Exported the report for the file. WiGUI FP.txt I assume this is a FP, and same as before, not MB5 specific? If so, Let me know, and I'll report it in the FP forum.
