  1. is it possible to add cpu throttling as an option during a scan? I don't mind a scan taking longer to complete as long as I dont notice the scanning
  2. The solution offered worked for me, system working again. as you can imagine I really don't want this to happen again and wonder if switching off the option "Automatically quarentine filesystem threats dectected..." is the best thing to do?
  3. Just run the Anti-Rootkit BETA v1.01.0.1009 and it reported 2 items; "c:\users\name\local settings\xobni\pro.da (trojan.downloader)" and "c:\users\name\local settings\application data\xobni\pro.da (trojan.downloader)" i'm pretty sure both are false positives. the files belong to my outlook plugin xobni (www.xobni.com)
  4. Thanks for the reply I found it, apparently I thought it a good idea to start a scan after a successful update, which I set to check every hour, I unchecked it now so I should be fine The other question is, is there a setting that keeps MB in the tray during a scan instead of opening its window?
  5. What triggers malwarebytes to start a scan? i noticed it started scanning several times, it then opens the program window and starts scanning, I would prefer it scanning less 'in your face' but also have no idea why it starts scanning all of a sudden.
