  1. Where I lay my head is home...yeah yeah.....right now I'm in Topeka on my way to nest with BIG Bird on Sesame Street. For those of you who don't know Elmo, Cookie Monster, Abby Cadabby amongst other friends live there.
  2. Hello, Please try this on the computer that is having an issue. 1. Uninstall Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware using Add/Remove programs in the control panel. 2. Restart your computer (very important). 3. Download and run this utility. mbam-clean.exe 4. It will ask to restart your computer (please allow it to). 5. After the computer restarts, install the latest version from here. mbam-setup.exe Note: You will need to reactivate the program using the license you were sent Launch the program and set the Protection and Registration. Then go to the UPDATE tab if not done during installation and check for updates. Restart the computer again and verify that MBAM is in the task tray and that you can run a quick scan and all is working as expected. Take a look at the following link. Error Code 732 - Internet Explorer 8, Possible Fix
  3. I would have to agree with YoKenny.
  4. Hello, Please download EXE (lnk and regfile) Fix for Windows XP and save it to your desktop. Double click the exefix.reg on your desktop, if it gives you an "open with..." error, you might have to right click the file, and go to run as, then uncheck the box that says "protect my computer and files from programs" then click okay and run it. This will prompt you with a new window asking if you want to make the change to the registry, click "Yes" then restart your computer. Let us know if you can now run programs...such as Malwarebytes, if you can please run Malwarebytes doing a full scan and post the log file here in this topic. Note: Firefox and chrome seem to just open it as text, so copy all the text and paste it into a notepad document. Then go to File, Save As. Under "Save as type:" select "All Files" and name it "exefix.reg" (without the quotes).
  5. WebHancer adware uses the Microsoft Winsock 2 SPI API to insert itself into the TCP/IP stack in order to monitor all web traffic on the host. This information is then relayed to the WebHancer server(s). Monitored traffic details include visited websites, browser type and other statistics. This program delivers advertising content to the user. In my opinion it should be removed. Read about WebHancer
  6. Please go to Start -> Control Panel, and choose Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually Local Area Connection or Dial-up Connection if you are using Dial-up, and left click on properties. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio button that says Obtain DNS servers automatically. Click OK twice, and restart your computer. If you have used Combofix before please delete that copy. Download ComboFix from one of these locations: Link 1 Link 2 * IMPORTANT !!! Save ComboFix.exe to your Desktop Disable your AntiVirus and AntiSpyware applications, usually via a right click on the System Tray icon. They may otherwise interfere with our tools. If you don't know how to disable them then just continue on. Double click on ComboFix.exe & follow the prompts. As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware. Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console. **Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures. Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message: Click on Yes, to continue scanning for malware. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Please include the C:\ComboFix.txt log in your next reply.
  7. Hi KarenF, You need to have both programs. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware removes malware from your computer. It also can do IP blocking. Your anti-virus helps with e-mail services/programs and scans for viruses.
  8. Very nice and clean and I like that in a site. Easy to navigate to find what your looking for. I do agree with a previous poster about putting small icons of the programs on the product page. It lends a nice touch and visually easier to recognize.
  9. Added....looking forward to helping out where I can.
  10. Just want to say THANK YOU to you and your team!
