looking for old malwarebytes just before takeover

Recommended Posts

I am looking for an old malwarebytes that I can use just before the takeover. The version I had updated to a new company. This version does not work on my xp computer. When trying to scan, it sat for 15 minutes on the prescan and never moved. ( Previous version would complete in 10 minutes and always work flawlessly.) I closed out the window and tried to re-start malwarebytes but it wouldn't start.  I noticed mbam was running in th task manager but I could not stop the process with the task manager. I had to turn off the comptuer to stop the process. I managed to uninstall the program and reinstalled version

1.75.0.1300 which is one year out of date but runs fine. Is it possible that someone could send me the last version just before the takeover. I will be sure not to update. I guess that would be about 2 months old. I'm not interested in the new malwarebytes company, and I don't think you should use the same name for the product that is currently available.

Hello and :welcome:

There is no company change it is a product version update is all as many users requested an updated graphical user interface as well as enhanced scanning methods.

Introducing Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0!

If you work with us I'm sure we can get you up and running much better.  The new version has a highly improved scanning engine and can now detect and remove many things it could not remove before.

Please try the following and let us know if that corrects the issue for you.

MBAM Clean Removal Process 2x

If that does not correct it then please read the following and post back the requested logs and we'll see if we can tell what's going on for you.

Diagnostic Logs

Thanks

Ok, I used ver 1.75.0.1300 ( one year old) and did a scan (choose to not update)  and there were zero infections. Then I restarted

ver 1.75.0.1300 and chose to update. Thank goodness, the update still had the original malwarebytes interface. There is somebody else who is trying to copy your product, but one look at it and you can see that it is bogus.

I attached a picture of the update (Current database information: date 4/16/2014, database version

v2014.04.16.04 fingerprints loaded 294241) Everything looks ok. I closed out the updated version, and then restarted it, and it went directly to the old scan interface ( no update request) , so I know I have the latest version.

jimdagys as AdvancedSetup has already mentioned in post #2 above in his reply he already gave you a link to the new version of Malwarebytes version 2.0.1 .... Introducing Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0!

There is no company takeover, and at this time there is nobody else trying to copy our product (Iobit tried, but they got caught, but that's another story).

As already mentioned in post #2 above, if you work with us, we can get the latest version of the product to work on your XP computer, just provide the logs requested after you install version 2.0, simply follow the instructions provided by AdvancedSetup in post #2 above...
