  1. I have Norton 360 and it popped up a message today saying that 00009614.tmp was a virus located in program files(x86)\malwarebytes anti-malware\. What is it and is it safe?
  2. Yes, I upgraded on top of the existing version. MBAM prompted me to upgrade and I selected to upgrade and just went through the process that the program set up. When I say formatting I mean the formatting of the web page, but that's beside the point. Everything just turns real slow. I did do the clean install method after reading on the forum a bit and that didn't help at all. When I do a windows troubleshoot of potential internet problems. It meantions DNS servers not being able to be connected and firewall issue. Once I exit out of MBAM completely, I am able to browse normally.
  3. I have the paid version of MBAM and browsing web pages are impossibly slow with this new update. Half the time the pages don't even load. The other half the formating is all messed up and content is missing. I'm on W8.1 Pro and the only fix I've found is exiting MBAM from system tray and disable at startup.
  4. Well, I have contacted Malwarebytes to ask if they have an answer.
  5. Alright, thanks for your help so far. So I just want to clarify that the only difference between so called OEM versions and retail versions is price?
  6. This one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832562002
  7. I mean the OEM copy of Malware Anti-Malware like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832562002.
  8. O sorry. I meant mainly to ask about difference between OEM and the retail version as Newegg and other online retailers offer such. But you were saying that the only difference is support. That means that I can still transfer the license between computers provided I uninstall it from the old before I install in the new and that works for both the OEM version and retail?
  9. There seems to be OEM versions and retail versions available. What's the difference between the two in terms of functionality. I have heard that some people say that for the OEM version, you cannot transfer license to a new computer if you decide to deactivate your old one. Is this true?
