  1. I think Cleverbridge is just wrong. I use my lifetime licenses from before v3 released and they activate just fine.
  2. Slightly off-topic, should other users like myself be able to download OPs attachments? Because I can. Possibly sensitive user info open to everyone. I thought in the past we couldn't download other's attachments, only that same user and admins/mods?
  3. Here are all the items. I did a fresh round of enabling ARW, wait a few seconds for Steam to lock up and crash, try to relaunch Steam and it locks up again, then disabled ARW, and got all these logs. MBAM Logs.zip MB-CheckResult.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  4. Checking back in again. I had Ransomware Protection re-enabled for a couple weeks with no issue. Today though, Steam is back to locking up and crashing when Ransomware Protection is enabled. Desktop.zip
  5. Another update, still having erratic issues with Steam and some games with Ransomware Protection turned on that don't seem to return when I turn the feature off.
  6. As an update, I seem to no longer have the crash. I didn't make any system changes though. Perhaps an update fixed it?
  7. I should also mention the only other system change that occurred recently was updating my nVidia driver to 378.49. I want to say it is possible that Steam was not crashing between updating MBAM and my nVidia driver. So maybe there is some kind of oddity between MBAM and this new driver that is causing my Steam to crash? I can attempt to downgrade my nVidia driver later today and test.
  8. @1PW Thanks, here are the details: Windows 10 1607 x64 If Steam is running and I enable Ransomware Protection, within a minute Steam locks up and will crash or I must kill it in Task Manager. If I relaunch Steam, it gets stuck trying to connect to my account or will open the main Steam window and lock up. Disabling Ransomware Protection (all other modules still enabled) fixes the issue. Logs attached MBAMlogs.zip
  9. So shortly after updating to 3.0.6, I'm not able to run Steam with Ransomware Protection enabled. It almost immediately crashes Steam and I'm unable to relaunch the program. No alerts or anything from MBAM either. I even added the Steam executable to the Exclusions list.
  10. Please, please, please remove the nag about not being "fully protected" when you have one of the modules disabled. For example, I keep website protection off on my PC because it conflicts with my VPN connection and some other software. But everytime I reboot and MBAM comes up, it has to WARN me that is turned off and give me the RED bar inside the app constantly. There needs to be an Advanced or Power User mode to turn stuff like this off.
  11. I had looked at CryptoPrevent before, but I'm pretty sure I never actually ran it. But I'm not 100% sure, so that could have been it.
  12. It may have been a fluke, but I don't see what else could have caused issues with two of my temp/chache directories. Unless it was the MBAM-Clean application. TFC and MBAM Clean were the only utilities I ran right before this issue occured.
  13. I discovered the issue. My temp files directory, C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Temp, lost it's SYSTEM and Administrator permissions, they were all unchecked. Since many installeres run as the System account, they coulden't access their own extracted files for installatoin. After fixing the Security permissions, Java installed. Yet another issue apparently caused by TFC.
  14. Not seeing anything in that program that would help. Not showing anything Java related.
  15. Thanks for the reply, AS. I mostly just keep Java around for Minecraft. Anyway, I've run JavaRa 2.5 a few times. But I went ahead and tried 1.16 as you suggested. I've attached the log. I'll note I get the FireFox errors even with Firefox closed and killed through Task Manager. After running this and rebooting, I attempt to install Java 7u55 again and get the same error. RemoveJava.txt
