Since last two days the mbam system tray icon is missing. It is not in the startup list. I uninstalled an reinstalled after the use all ram memory freeze pc episode. Everything was fine but now the tray icon is missing. mbam is running and after 3-4 attempts the dashboard comes up saying everything is good. I have to do a clean untinstall and reinstall again? I have win8.1

That I have not been here since 2012 until recently is a good thing it means last time I had serious software conflicts issues with malwarebytes was 5-6 years ago. I tried changing so I could see who if any had visited my profile.

The recent visitors block is disabled and is not being shown to other users. Enable I cant edit things on my profile. This is not correct.

I thought i created a new member acc for this but when logged in I can see last I was here in 2012. I wrote please send me email about updates. 2016 and 2017 the way I have found out that there are product updates available is finding them posted on pirate sites. not lol.

Theres a dude that said his company lost 85 000 dollar on this. I must say malwarebytes been very good until today. I lost my saturday night of surfing. Two weeks until next saturday off work. I also used hitman pro until recently it Black screen of Death my pc, and then it blocked Adobe flash player so I could not Watch videos online. Besides pay bills once a month that is all I use it for. Have a nice weekend XD

i started mbam , about, help, logged in started a support ticket, did the dd.scr collect info txt attachments, got a reply to use an attached file mbamservice.exe , boot into safemode, replace existing mbamservice.exe with the attached version. Only problem no file was attached with the email, and no url to download any? yesterday i started adobe media player, it wanted to do a minor update? ok. result my adobe media player install was deleted and adobe no longer support nor provide any download of said program. norton ghost - me old abobe media player 1,1 back as before evil fake update. found 1.7 at different url . restoring c:\ from a backup ghost image takes 7-20 minutes. its very mindnumbing to use ghost but after hours/days/weeks of formatting hardrives installing Os and close to one hundred applications and updates to every app, u get really tired of that and u get the biggest grin on your face the first couple of times you use ghost to give the finger to whatever it is that fup your pc. the imagefiles are on fifferent drives and can be burnt to DVD´s. So if the C:\ drive fails completely i can buy a new drive and put an old image on it and be up again with the same Os n apps everything usually far sooner then having to reinstall everything. Every time i tried using system restore it kept files the antivirus programs wanted to delete, and if a restore was successful all the antivirus programs became corrupted and needed to be reupdated with every definition file since first install. Image Backup Ghost is the best solution i have come across.

Daledoc1 quote "will be releasing an updated version soon." i have malwarebytes pro, i paid for it, when i did that i had to leave an email where the pro code was sent. Could malwarebytes email users that gets there newsletters if such one do exist when this updated version is released. Not that its not fun to read this forum but every time im here im so tired i cant follow the tech instructions. I am used to malwarebytes updating automatically and very hassel free. guess i am spoiled in that way.

if u got any fixes made should they be put in the mbam auto update? have a better continued new year and lets hope its all over completely on dec 21st.

edit: today mbam evaded nis block and updated to 1.16.800 and when i restarted to finish install it froze on za free i assume. i put in ghost boot cd and restored back 2 days.

im using xp sp3, avira 2011, nis2012, zonealarm free. malwarebytes pro 1.51.2.1300. nis said something happened during scan: unauthorized access blocked (open token process) actor mbamservice.exe, target nis sec engine ccsvchst.exe nis didnt like mbam and blocked it. bad nis. i rightclick mbam tray start update 5,85 mb % ok. try updating again program_error_updating(403,0 HTTPStatusCode i go to mbam site look in forum and all the problems here in this thread, norton internet security have been blocking mbam a lot in the recent history log. if i make an exception in nis and mbam updates i will be subject to freeze, hang nightmare to possibly. i long didnt update ZA cuz it f*k things, very recently it updated itself and i was surprised it didnt f*k everthing. Earlier in 2011 avira antivirus wanted to update itself to 2012(with firewall), but i had to go back to 2011. my current nis2011* is an upgraded/updated older install, but not the first 2012_offer from norton to upgrade cuz the first f*k everything up. well i guess its mbams turn to run into the hang freeze/firewall issues zzzzz I loved mbam back when i first installed it and it removed a lot of crap
