Freezing during rootkit scan on my system

Exactly the same problem here using Win 7 SP1 64 bit. No problem runnig XP SP3 32 bit on other two computers.

I was having similar problems to you, but installing the new beta as mentioned by "AdvancedSetup" in the post above solved all my problems.

running the public beta 2.0.2.1007 version the problem seems fixed. Now I'm waiting for the final offcial release...

Even if the scan time is slower than that one of the 1.75 Mbam version. Maybe the the new (powerful) engine.....

Yes the new version as compaired to version 1.75 will take a little longer to complete scans as the new engine is scanning way more locations and files so it has more to do.  Also with rootkit scanning and archive scanning it will increase the scan times. Those features were not available in version 1.x

The beta release now works fine. I really don't understand the reason why Mbam released an official new 2.0 version so bad. The 1.75 was perfect. A little more patience would be better....
