  1. Thanks Daledoc1, I will let you know how it goes. Tom PS I haven't yet upgraded to 2.x.
  2. I purchased Malwarebytes Pro last fall. My previous computer was dying, so I just got a new to me laptop. Can I transfer my Malwarebytes license to it, and if so, how? Thanks, Tom
  3. I think I know the answer to this question, but I would like to hear it from someone more knowledgeable than me. II'm using malwarebytes premium on a Dell laptop that is running Windows XP. Will malwarebytes help prevent malware and security breaches after Microsoft stops supporting XP on April 8th? Thanks, Tom
  4. Hi Ron, Not quite. What helps me compare programs is a table where each row of the first column is a feature of the most expensive version of the program (since the paid program has all the features of the free one, plus several features the free one doesn't have). Each subsequent column is for a version of the program. With Malawarebytes, there would be two additional columns, one for the free version and the other for the paid one. For programs that have more than one paid version, there would be additional columns. Under the free version, the box for each feature the free version had would have a check mark in it. The same would be true for the paid version. That way, by looking at which boxes were checked for the different versions, a person could immediately tell what features it had, and decide if the paid version had enough extra features to make it worth buying. I hope I've explained this well enough. Tom
  5. Thanks Ron, Everything is working fine. I'm going to give Malwarebytes Pro a try. I would love to see a table that shows the features that are only in the paid version, as well as the features both versions have. I have been recommending Malwarebytes to friends and will continue to do so. Thanks again, Tom
  6. Ron, Malawarebytes installed fine. Thank you thank you thank you ...., Tom
  7. Ron, Thank you for the information about Advanced System Optimizer. I've uninstalled it. I reran AdwCleaner, uninstalled all versions of Java, downloaded fixlist.txt, and ran FRST. Fixlog.txt is attached. Thanks! Tom Fixlog.txt
  8. Thanks! Tom mbar-log-2013-10-04 (21-42-24).txt system-log.txt JRT.txt AdwCleanerR0.txt eset.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  9. Thanks a bunch, Ron! I'll reply with the files when I have completed all the steps.
  10. Thanks Ron, Attached is the ComboFix log file. I haven't tried to install malwarebytes again, but unless you tell me not to, I will. Tom ComboFix.txt
  11. I downloaded the free version of malwarebytes for Windows XP Professional and ran Setup.exe. But I can't find the program. It's not in the list of all programs, and there is no folder in c:/Program Files. What do I need to do to install or find the program? Note: Malwarebytes was previously installed on my computer, and then uninstalled. A malwarebytes folder was listed when I clicked All Programs, but it was empty. It was still empty after I ran Setup.exe. I deleted the folder and re-ran Setup.exe, but malwareytes was still not installed. Thank you! Tom
