    It actually cancelled this time, after waiting 5 minutes. But it hangs every scan now...

    Forgot to mention, I cannot cancel the scan when this occurs. I have to kill the process in task manager, and then reboot.

    I am having this exact same issue. Running Win7-64 and only MSE. It happens on the scheduled nightly scans as well as custom scans of internal and external drives. It just started happening a few nights ago, even though Ihave had ver 2 since the release.
