Malwarebytes Service and VirusScan conflict?

Every so often, my computer totally freezes up and eventually VirusScan gets disabled and then it reenables itself. Looking inside of Event Viewer, the cause is Malwarebytes scanning a certain file inside of VirusScan.

A thread in process C:\Program Files\McAfee\VirusScan Enterprise\mcshield.exe took longer than 90000 ms to complete a request.
