  1. How about a way to easily export settings and import them to another device? I realize that some settings may not be exportable, such as tamper protection, but there are a lot of settings that can be altered in just the Advanced Settings under Protection alone that would be 10x easier to export and import, especially when dealing with machines not colocated in a single space.
  2. Agreed, user choice is paramount. I can go with that, as long as it is up to the user to choose what to show, then by all means, the dashboard should be editable. And this kinda goes along with the whole dashboard being editable thing. Other devices is great for a single user, but a system that has multiple users, is it really fair to share such private info with every user that logs in? Nope. Definitely a valid concern about that section. Plus, allowing the (main / admin) user to hide the Other devices section (and, preferably, the Online privacy section) would reduce the height of the entire window, making it much more friendly for folks with small screens and high scaling (zoom) levels. Think of it as an accessibility concern, if nothing else.
  3. Which, interestingly enough, could be solved if 1) The Online privacy section is able to be minimized, and 2) if the Other devices section could be minimized as well. And, in fact, the other thread where 3 other users have said the other devices should not even be shown on multi-user systems is appropriate - that should not be there unless the user (admin of the account) chooses to have it there. You could save nearly 25% vertical height with that.
  4. Interesting. I didn't even realize this was not Qt based, though I am really glad to hear that. Glad a fix was found, too!
  5. I think the important thing to note here is that this is version specific. As Brad noted, v4 didn't exhibit this behavior, and further testing can support that. So, while the System Tray functionality, in and of itself, is not under control of MB, interactions with the tray are. Something about the new software is interacting differently than the older v4, and thus causing this issue.
  6. Not everyone needs the dashboard to be editable, either. That being said, it would definitely be a good idea to have it as an option for those who want it to be editable. I hope this becomes an optional feature. While I'm not annoyed or irked by the current interface, I wouldn't mind being able to turn off the VPN report, as I have no plans to ever use the MB VPN as I use my own.
  7. Are you referring to the Online Privacy section of the Dashboard?
  8. I'm the same way - I don't need the VPN, so the lifetime license for MB is enough for me.
  9. My grandfathered lifetime license is working perfectly in v5, so my guess is that you won't need to revert to v4. I only installed v5 on this build, which I clean installed Windows back in August - it's never had MB4 on it.
  10. This is also happening here even on v5.0.15.93. Quite annoying. System tray icon right click ignores theme: Taskbar icon follows system theme:
  11. Yeah, same here - both 5.0.15.93 and the previous 5.0.14.89 did not have any update loops - because I manually check for updates a couple times a day, and more often than not I simply get
  12. Looks like a new version was pushed down the pipeline. Minor version revision, so I suspect this was in response to the update issue reported by a few from last week? Also, any specific tests that might be good to run on my machine for anything?
