Hello just a thought on this, you have office 2003, do you have the lastest service packs for office installed?

No,I am not sure, but I think that I haven't the latest service packes.

Is it "service packs" integrated with Micorosoft 2003? Or should I install it alone? How can I get it?

The latest service pack for Office 2003 was Service Pack 3

Download Office 2003 Service Pack 3 (SP3)

Once you've installed that you should really check and make sure you have other Windows updates applied to your computer.

1- You didn't answer me is the service pack for Office 2003 integrated with Office 2003?

2- How can I be quite sure if I have the latest service pack for Office 2003?

Back in the day when they sold office, and depending on when you bought your version of office it was not integrated.

To check to see if you have any service packs installed, open up Word, then go to Help and About Microsoft Word and see it it tells you what version it has installed if any.

If I check what you mentioned to, what should I see to judge that I have the service packs ? Becuase you only mentioned how can I do? But you didn't mention what the mark of being the service packs installed?

It depends on what OS you have.

For Windows XP go here: http://www.update.microsoft.com/

For Vista or Windows 7 try the following

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Change-how-Windows-installs-or-notifies-you-about-updates

Let Microsoft scan your system and they will tell you what updates you need.

The service pack is NOT integrated with Microsoft Office 2003. If you want to know if you have any service packs, open Word then click on HELP and then on About Microsoft Word. That opens a window and it will tell you on the top line something like this: Microsoft Office Word 2003 (11.8328.8341) SP3 (this is mine cause I have SP3 installed)

If you do not show SP3 there then you need to install SP3. You can download it from Microsoft here: http://www.microsoft...tails.aspx?id=8

You also need to have the latest service pack for Windows. Otherwise Microsoft will no longer deliver updates to you if you don't have a supported service pack. Having outdated updates leaves your pc vulnerable to malware and possible software issues that were fixed in a supported service pack such as kernel level code that security software uses. Some helpers will be less likely to help you if you don't take things seriously such as updates.

Just to add, windows updates and service packs are just as important with the workings of Microsoft word. There are shared files that windows and other applications use such as dll files, this is why it is important to also update the windows service packs as well.
