Is malware and MS security suite "enough"

I'd like to hear from a moderator what they think of this combo: Malwarebytes (purchased) and MS secuirty suite (free)

It is not the best antivirus out there - no. But one also has to consider that there are many other potential issues and methods to infect a computer such as out of date software like the OS, Java, Flash, Acrobat, etc.

Updates and a limited account will go a long way towards completing that system. "enough" is also a word with no definition as you have not described what you want to have "enough" protection against.

These are the critical questions:

Is this computer used to store sensitive data and/or used to visit sites where you will be entering sensitive data?
Do you visit a set list of sites that you know should be safe or do you frequently search and open multiple results on sites you have never been to before?
Are you the only user of this system?
If your hard drive failed would you lose files that you cant live without?
