There is a new search hijacker called Zfsearch.com caused by a destructive search virus that modifies browser settings in FireFox and Explorer and re-directs search results in Google, Yahoo, Bing and MSN to Zfsearch.com and random corrupt advertising urls. The browser hijacker may alter Windows hosts file, drop additional malware onto the contaminated system and unable users from surfing certain security-related web sites. Once executed Zfsearch.com may generate corrupt files in the registry use large amount of system resources causing unreliable computer performance. Zfsearch.com is a privacy and security risk that may gather your sensitive data and inflict damage to your computer's operating system.
My neighboor laptop is infected with it and even after running a scan with Malware Bytes it was not detected.
I have not found any comments from Firefox, Microsoft, Google, etc...
Please advise. Thanks, rsdec
