Resident Shield Alert Virus Removal?

Hi, as of today a Resident Shield pop-up has constantly been appearing on my system. It advises me of a trojan present on my system and tries to get me to remove it. I suspected it instantly and found online it was indeed a virus. I followed the instructions on the pinned thread:

Please download Rootkit Unhooker and save it to your Desktop

Double-click on RKUnhookerLE to run it
Click the Report tab, then click Scan
Check Drivers, Stealth and uncheck the rest
Click OK
Wait until it's finished and then go to File > Save Report
Save the report to your Desktop

Copy the entire contents of the report and paste it in a reply here.

Note - you may get this warning it is ok, just ignore: "Rootkit Unhooker has detected a parasite inside itself!

It is recommended to remove parasite, okay?"

Hi, so still having problems with virus, as follows:

Popups for a 'Resident Shield Alert', carrying similar logo as AVG. Most recent pop up presents the following threat:

Threat Name: Trojan Horse Generic19.FU

Options for 'Move to Vault', 'Go to File', and 'Ignore'

I have ran both MBAM and AVG Free, neither are picking up anything. This pop-up occurs every twenty minutes or so.

Double click on Combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
As part of it's process, ComboFix will check to see if the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed. With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal. It will allow you to boot up into a special recovery/repair mode that will allow us to more easily help you should your computer have a problem after an attempted removal of malware.
Follow the prompts to allow ComboFix to download and install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console, and when prompted, agree to the End-User License Agreement to install the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console.

**Please note: If the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is already installed, or if you are running Vista, ComboFix will continue it's malware removal procedures.

Once the Microsoft Windows Recovery Console is installed using ComboFix, you should see the following message:

Hi, as of today a Resident Shield pop-up has constantly been appearing on my system. It advises me of a trojan present on my system and tries to get me to remove it. I suspected it instantly and found online it was indeed a virus.

Can you please tell me how the threat was called/what file was infected.

Sorry I'm unsure of what you mean? I'm not 100% sure what file is infected, I'm just seeing the pop-up every few minutes. the file it tells me is infected is File c:\Windows\Temp\Pbx.exe and the trojan it says it detects is 'Trojan Horse Generic19.FU'. Is this what you mean?

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
Now click on Scan Settings
In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
- Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
- Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
- Scan Options:
- Scan Archives
  Scan Mail Bases
[*]Click OK
[*]Now under select a target to scan:
- Select My Computer
[*]This will program will start and scan your system.
[*]The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
[*]Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
- Now click on the Save as Text button:
[*]Save the file to your desktop.
[*]Copy and paste that information in your next post.

Been trying online scanner today, have been unsuccessful.

When I am updating the database, the following error code appears:

Update has failed. Program has failed to start. Close the Kaspersky Online Scanner 7.0 window and open it again to install the program.

You must be online to update the Kaspersky Online Scanner 7 database. With the latest database updates, you can find new viruses and other threats. Please go online to use Kaspersky Online Scanner 7. [ERROR: Key is expired[

I have been trying for a number of hours, and will continue to do so, is there something I'm doing wrong? Sorry.
