How do i go about scanning iso files for viruses. I had zip files and i unzipped them and it came up with an iso file. I scanned with both microsoft security essential and malwarebytes free and nothing came up.

any ideas?

You could unzip the ISO itself then scan the contents.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit • avast! 2014 Free • MBAM PRO • WinPatrol PLUS • Ad Muncher • Image for Windows

I believe 7zip can extract files from an iso.

I'm not aware of any program that scans within an ISO image. Yes 7-Zip can extract ISO images.
