  1. Ran a 2nd MalwareBytes scan & it did not appear. Also ran a PURE scan ^ no problems. To kymmog: Going Pro is the only way to go w/ MalwareBytes.
  2. Ran a scan & it found "Trojan.FakeMS. I deleted it to Quarantine & after this post will remove it completely. What information is available about it? Any input is appreciated. 3. I use MalwareBytes Pro & Kaspersky PURE. I have been very satisfied w/ both. Every now & then I will try out a replacement for PURE, but always go right back to PURE. A couple months ago I wasted my time trying BitDefender Total Security after reading an article boasting of it's features. There was no support, Anti-theft was a joke (It showed my laptop being everywhere it wasn't. I was in CA, but it showed my laptop in NJ, ND, OR, WA.), it did not block ads, etc. On the positive I have used Kaspersky for many years & PURE since it 1st came, but to each his own. Some people like Fords & some prefer Chevy's. Another tool that has been in my Security Setup for many years is RoboForm. It does a lot more than protect my passwords. I could not get along w/o it.
  4. princetongrad24 That's good 2 hear. Going 2 start 2nd scan after this. Could be I'm hard 2 find because I haven't posted on here in probably a year. Sounds like this Trojan is new. I sure am glad I do a complete MalwareBytes scan & a complete Kaspersky PURE scan every day.
  5. I just got "hit" by Trojan.Dorkbot.ED. Found 2 during a scan. I am going to run another scan since I removed both. If it does not show up again, will I need to do anything else? or am I safe?
  6. Should Carbonite be on MalwareBytes "Ignore List" ? If yes, Which Carbonite apps/locations/programs do I include? Thank you
  7. This should better explain my situation & concerns. The following are installed on my HP LapTop: - OS is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit - Kaspersky PURE ~ Have used Kaspersky for years & satisfied overall w/ its performance. - WebRoot Window Washer - To avoid compatibility issues w/ Kaspersky (according to Kaspersky) I keep it turned "off" & use it only when I want to cleanup my system. I have used the "free" version of MalwareBytes & was impressed w/ its results so I purchased the PRO version. In the past I have wasted more time dealing w/ technical issues, getting conflicting answers from "supposed" experts, & forums than using my LapTop as a tool to make $$$. All I want to do is finally make $$$ & know my LapTop is protected. For me a LapTop is intended to be a "tool" to make $$$. I don't care how it works since I do not pocess the capability for that type of thinking & it is a waste of my time to try. It is better I rely on "legitimate" experts. That is why I need to know whether or not MalwareBytes PRO will be compatible w/ my system. If it is compatible, than exactly what is involved w/ properly setting up MalwareBytes PRO w/ my system? Because of past experiences I am fearful I will have to make adjustments, change settings, run tests, etc. I look forward to input from a “legitimate” expert. Thank you
  8. Just purchased MalwareBytes PRO & b4 I install it I have some questions of compatibility on my Windows 7 64-bit OS. I have contacted WebRoot & was told their "Window Washer" is not compatible w/ MalwareBytes PRO. Is MalwareBytes PRO "fully" compatible w/ WebRoot "Window Washer" or not? I would like a straight, honest answer so I don't waste my time. Thank you
  9. Just purchased MalwareBytes PRO & b4 I nstall it I have some questions of compatibility. I have already contacted WebRoot & was told their Spy Sweeper is not compatible w/ MalwareBytes. Is MalwareBytes "fully" compatible w/ Kaspersky PURE or not? My OS is Windows 64 bit. I would like a straight, honest answer so I don't waste my time. Thank you
  10. I would like to install my MalwareBytes PRO on a USB drive so I can remove it from my LapTop when not needed & avoid possible conflicts. How do I install MalwaresBytes PRO on my USB drive?
