  1. Hello, I had this issue of PUM.Hijack.DisplayProperties and someone advised me to download Malwarebytes AntiMalware and scan it. The issue was found and removed. But I still couldn't change me desktop background. Also loads of folders were set as read only and hidden. Eventually my company support did a complete system format. Now I had to transfer back some of my data. I installed Malwarebytes AntiMalware and guess what. I got the Malware again. I again installed Malwarebytes AntiMalware and removed the malware but not sure if it is really removed. Can someone advise. The log is as follows: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Trial) 1.61.0.1400 www.malwarebytes.org Database version: v2012.04.15.06 Windows 7 Service Pack 1 x64 NTFS Internet Explorer 8.0.7601.17514 Ammar.Khalid :: ISSW7DEV029 [administrator] Protection: Enabled 15/04/2012 20:54:32 mbam-log-2012-04-15 (20-54-32).txt Scan type: Quick scan Scan options enabled: Memory | Startup | Registry | File System | Heuristics/Extra | Heuristics/Shuriken | PUP | PUM Scan options disabled: P2P Objects scanned: 232622 Time elapsed: 3 minute(s), 54 second(s) Memory Processes Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Values Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Data Items Detected: 1 HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System|NoDispScrSavPage (PUM.Hijack.DisplayProperties) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Quarantined and repaired successfully.
