  2. My bad my internet went down yesterday. Although my computer is running smoothly for now, I found something weird had happened. I found out that although windows update is back on, but when i tried to update it, it gave me the error 80246008, so then I followed the instructions on Microsoft regarding this error, it said to restart the Backround Intelligent Transfer Services, but I didnt find it and I tried to reset the Windows Event Log, but it gave me an error "Windows could not stop the Windows Event Log service on Local Computer. Error 5: Access denied", so I have a good feeling my computer is still infected with my some viruses. Here is the scan results from after Combofix had finished on my computer: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Trial) 1.62.0.1300 www.malwarebytes.org Database version: v2012.08.14.06 Windows Vista Service Pack 2 x86 NTFS Internet Explorer 7.0.6002.18005 Edward 2 :: MALOR-PC [administrator] Protection: Enabled 15/08/2012 3:13:56 PM mbam-log-2012-08-15 (15-13-56).txt Scan type: Full scan (C:\|) Scan options enabled: Memory | Startup | Registry | File System | Heuristics/Extra | Heuristics/Shuriken | PUP | PUM Scan options disabled: P2P Objects scanned: 239771 Time elapsed: 1 hour(s), 42 minute(s), 9 second(s) [aborted] Memory Processes Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Values Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Data Items Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Folders Detected: 0 (No malicious items detected) Files Detected: 6 C:\WINDOWS\assembly\GAC\Desktop.ini (Trojan.0access) -> Delete on reboot. 3. I keep getting this error right after I try to install the updates, but I keep getting this error. Recently I got rid of a bunch of viruses that have affected Windows Update, but now even if the Windows Update is back on, I cant update. I followed the suggestions set up by Microsoft and it didnt help: http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows-vista/Windows-Update-error-80246008 and I did not find the Backround Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) and when I tried to reset the Windows Event Log, it gave me the error "Windows could not stop the Windows Event Log Service on Local Computer, Error 5: Access is denied". Is there anyway to fix this problem?
  4. My bad! And thank you soo much for helping me with this problem!
  5. Thank you as Windows Updates is working But after the combofix scan, it seems I'm unable to open up Mozilla Firefox, Control Panel and other files A message popped up saying "Illegal operation attempted on a registry key that has been marked for deletion" Is there a way to fix this problem? Oh and also I typed this on my iPod as I couldn't open up firefox without that same message appearing

  9. It all started when Microsoft Security Essentials suddenly stopped working, along with Windows update, Windows Firewall and Windows Security Center. I installed MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and it detected several trojans and rootkits in my files after doing a full scan, I rebooted my pc to remove it. Then after running a quick scan using MalwareBytes, it detected the same viruses again and rebooted it again. Is there a way to permanently to remove these trojans and rootkits AND can I still backup my files (music, videos, games, documents, etc) with those viruses? mbam-log-2012-08-12 (17-45-44).txt mbam-log-2012-08-13 (23-44-10).txt mbam-log-2012-08-14 (18-32-50).txt mbam-log-2012-08-15 (14-33-47).txt
  10. Is it safe to back up files while my laptop is infected with multiple trojans?
