  1. Hello @jboursier As regards the cmd.exe window "flash-by" .. 8.0.7 is not an improvement over 8.0.6. For simplicity (and as suggested by pm), how about separate executables for GUI and CLI. At times, multi-function software may not be the way to go .. but of course that's my humble opinion. Thanks!
  2. Perhaps of no relevance, but HitmanPro 3.8.18 (312) 64-bit GUI loads in about 1/3 of the time (subjectively, not measured). Maybe I'm comparing apples with oranges...
  3. The CMD window is opened long enough that I see it as a "black rectangle" proper. It's not just flashing by. It slows the loading of the GUI version a bit. It's not terrible, but a nuisance as I have a ThinkCentre M920s computer with i7-8700 CPU, 16GB and a M2.SDD. Hope you can fix this or provide a GUI version only. The latter doesn't make sense, as a /switch would do the trick imo. Thanks.
  4. Thanks. Pass it on. Should be an easy fix .. imo. I could of course always go back to 8.0.5 even though it may have a bug: https://borncity.com/win/2020/07/03/adwcleaner-8-0-6-schliet-erneut-dll-hijacking-schwachstelle/
  5. Your "Bot" auto-reply-suggestion doesn't apply, so I'll ignore that one. Must say that I don't care for Bot exchanges, but that's a different issue!
  6. Using a fairly powerful computer with 16GB memory, when starting v.8.0.6 as a GUI program, it first opens a black CMD window for a moment before the GUI is loaded. To avoid this and to speed up loading of the GUI I need a switch to tell the program to skip the CMD detour. Is there such a switch? If not, can you provide one for the next release. Thanks.
  7. Okay, got it. For a layman it seems a bit silly to validate a lapsed certificate by a counter signature (instead of updating the certificate). But, I'm sure there is a reason for it. Thanks!
  8. Thanks! So far it seems they are playing nicely together. We'll see what the guys at the Symantec forum say. Different issue, Security Certificates: whereas MBAE has valid certificates, I just noted that MBARW has outdated certificates (both Sha1 and Sha256). How come?
  9. Thanks for that! I have excluded the folder C:\Program Files\Norton Security for now. If that's too broad, let me know. (I use Norton Security "basic", aka NAV, by choice.) Norton Security "dumps" folders/files all over the place, so in case there are other locations or files, let me know too. As for the revers issue, excluding MBARW and/or MBAE from Norton, I'll check on that next time I visit Norton's support forum.
  10. Solved: removed the link in the Startup Folder and all works fine. It turned out to be a non-issue.
  11. I put a link in the W10 Startup Folder and the prog starts fine, but with the UI (show MBARW) loaded. How can I set the prog to start silently w/o the UI, like the way MBAE starts? Thanks.
  12. Just installed MBARW "arw-setup-consumer-0.9.18.807-1.1.278-1.0.14637" on a w10 (1809) where I have MBAE 1.13.1.146 and NAV 22.20.1.69 running. Any suggestions on what programs to exclude to optimize run-ability and performance?
  13. Good point! I can always try the free and register later. Or, maybe just reinstall v.1.75.0.1300 (this is a joke...)!
