  1. Nope. I removed the two TMAV executables that you recommended adding and it sped up the scan by about 17 seconds!
  2. Okay. I logged off and back into Windows, then ran two Hyper Scans in a row. 1: 0:58 2: 0:59 I have shaved off a half minute by excluding your .exes in TMAV.
  3. I posted that I did, 6 minutes ago. All executables are now excluded. Perhaps I need to log off and back on for the exclusions to take effect.
  4. I excluded all of the MBAM executables, then ran a Hyper Scan. The results were 1:30, same as before. Oh well...
  5. I upgraded to version 2.0 on day one. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit, using a Standard User account for daily business. I upgraded and installed MBAM from my Administrator account and after trying it out, disabled scanning for Heuristics (Shuriken), Rootkits and within archives. Now, despite these settings, a Hyper Scan takes about 1.5 minutes, where the Flash Scan in v1.75 took about 20 seconds. Also, when I watch the progress of the Hyper Scan, it shows that despite me deselecting them, Heuristics are still being scanned and taking the bulk of the time. Is there a configuration file I can manually edit to disable Heuristics scanning entirely? I only want to do the equivalent of the old Flash Scan. I use Trend Micro Anti-Virus+ for my primary protection.
  6. Here is my last log file before I uninstalled MBAE. mbae-default.log
  7. On February 4. 2014, Adobe released a patched version of Flash Player. I chose to log into my administrator level account to update Flash, rather than my usual Standard User account (Windows 7). I ran the Flash update from the official Adobe Flash Player download page in Firefox, my default browser, and as is my custom, first downloaded the ActiveX version for IE. I ran the ActiveX updater to completion, with Firefox open. Instead of Firefox opening a Success page, as it usually does, I got a pop-up box from MBAE, telling me it had blocked an exploit attempt. Hmmm. Then, I downloaded the Flash update for Firefox. Upon completion, I clicked to close the Adobe updater and instead of having Firefox open a tab to the success page, I was greeted again with an Exploit Attempt Blocked popup, from MBAE. I opened the MBAE interface to try to see why the new tab had been blocked and all I found were two log entries about a blocked browser exploit. I clicked on them, one at a time, but the Exclude button failed to activate. It was impossible to exclude this detection from MBAE. I have since uninstalled the Beta version of MBAE, but thought you should know about this anomaly. I also run MBAM in realtime mode, along with Trend Micro Titanium AntiVirus+.
  8. Tonight, after running a scheduled nightly Flash Scan, 6 files that have been scanned countless times before, which were created in 2011 by my CoffeeCup Sitemapper, were identified as Trojan.trace. I opened each one in NoteTab Pro and they are completely harmless data or text files, not Trojans. The same files were considered fine the night before. Here is my report, saved from a developer mode scan. MBAM-log-2013-12-19 (00-43-56).zip
  9. I'm thankful for having a good mind and healthy body, so that I can be of use to other people who benefit from my God given talents. This includes helping them with computer security related problems, such as those requiring the use of MBAM to solve those problems. For this software I am also thankful. Wiz
