  1. Looks like something related to the java download wanted to know what your default browser was and you machine couldn't (or wouldn't) give it the info.
  2. Went for a look at that site... now it's one and a half hours later!!!
  3. I am guessing it is a desktop PC and not a laptop? Is it a wired or wireless mouse? First thing is check using another mouse.
  4. If the event ID number matches yours in the event viewer and you are using Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 there is a Microsoft-fix-it for it here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2328240
  5. Perhaps running the Microsoft -Fix-It tool would be well worth a try. Many a cd/dvd problem gets fixed by running the upper and lower filters fix that is contained in the tool. http://support.microsoft.com/mats/cd_dvd_drive_problems/en-us
  6. Okay I have sorted it for myself by changing the forum theme to the IP Board one (hope you don't mind!!) This means the forum is readable for me now. In case anyone wants to know what I mean scroll to the bottom left of the page and click change theme.
  7. The default forum font size seems very small. If I make the font size larger using my browser's zoom feature it seems to interfere with how pm's are shown, in some of them I have to scroll down an empty area which has 'delete' and 'compose new' buttons on it in order to get to the first pm in a thread.
  8. Neighbour called me round last night as he had just managed to get Security Monitor 2012 on his machine. He had the new version of MBAM on which I ran but each time Security Monitor popped up it stopped MBAM. Then I remembered about the new Chameleon function. I used the iexplore one. It worked a treat Great idea guys.
  9. I knew Matt through another forum and we chatted a lot. What a nice person he was. Sometimes it's hard to understand why things like this happen
  10. When you type in mbam /developer make sure you put a space after the wordmbam and before the /
  11. Just for info here is the Avast thread http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=68625.0
  12. Of course Ccleaner offers the yahoo toolbar. See here the build options offered, at the bottom slim build -no toolbar http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/builds
