  1. I've kept it on this entire time. When it started screwing up, it would barely last an hour or two before you could feel the gradual lock-up. Now it's fine. It looks like it was some sort of corruption on AVGs end after all. Cheers for the help. Looks like everything's all good now, or at least as good as it's going to get.
  2. I see. Does that mean my logs are clear, then? If so, I'll go ahead and uninstall avg. It usually starts acting up within a couple hours. So if it still starts to gradually lock up. I'll post back.
  3. Yeah. The Japanese stuff was indeed on purpose, it was for translating a foreign game. This was years ago and was never a problem. As for the arabic bit, I'm not sure about that, but putting it through Google translate leads to it meaning "Photo Gallery" so, uh. I'm not sure about that one. As for anything extra I've done since replying, I've gone ahead and deleted some old unused programs like bluestacks, daemon tools and some remnants of what looked like some norton scanners from when this laptop was new new. If it's not a virus, I'm thinking it might've been either AVG, since it updated right when things started going bad. Maybe something corrupted?. Or bluestacks, which was always running in processes, but never actually used. As for the java stuff, it's just the dev toolkit which I've had for a while, I need it for programming reasons, so I can't exactly part with it. The other outdated java program is gone now, though. And sorry, now that I got the long-winded stuff out of the way. Here's everything you asked for. mbamlog2.txt adwarelog.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  4. I'd also like to add, that around when this happened, these drivers seemed to be installed. And since I wasn't doing anything, I think they might be a possible cause of the problem.
  5. Attached below are the logs. Addition.txt FRST.txt mbamlog.txt
  6. Sorry for the vague title, but is as it's said. I had left my laptop on standby as I was out for the day, and when I came back, it was running fine as per usual. But the suspicious stuff came after the restart. For one, I've never seen unsecapp EVER run before now, and it seems to be constantly running, also, I've seen a windows pop-up that I've also never seen before. "You must restart your computer to apply these changes". Also, around that time, for no reason whatsoever, my desktop would just lock up. I actually had it as I was trying to scan with Malwarebytes to provide the log, forcing a restart. I've had to restart it a few times already because once it's locked up, it's locked up for good. I figured I'd come here and be safe rather than sorry, I will also provide mbam logs and frst logs as soon as I get them done.
  7. Confirmed with scan. Thanks. You guys are absolute legends.
  8. Thanks for the quick response! Will confirm with another scan once database goes live.
  9. I scan religiously with malwarebytes, almost every day, to my surprise it picked up Ransomware on this particular scan. I've acquired those from an official site, so I'm truly hoping they're actually false positives. Below are the log and the files. Thank you. Detection log.txt nekopara_vol2_patch_1.zip nekopara_vol2_patch_1exe.zip Uninstall.zip
  10. Thanks for the quick response. I updated the database and now it no longer shows up as a false positive. Thanks again.
  11. Oh. I forgot to mention. I was trying to get the file that was located in C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp but kept getting access denied. So I had to copy/paste one to my desktop so I could archive it. I hope that doesn't affect anything.
  12. I ran a scan after what I assume was a DB update. (Was not paying attention to scan so cannot confirm.) Detected a "Malware.trace" in my startup. I'm fairly certain the file is not new. Hopefully you can confirm if this is a False Positive or not. Qualcomm FP Scan.txt Qualcomm Atheros.RAR
