I am trying to work on a desktop that's acting a little funky, After a fresh reinstall of W7, I'm having same symptoms as before - cannot enable LAN connection (freezes at enabling), unable to get IP address, cannot connect to router (always unidentified network). I've tried a few rootkit detectors but all of them are acting odd as well. Combofix runs but never finishes. Bitdefender runs and is done nearly as fast as I can press the button, McAfee never gets past trying to update, which it can't since the LAN can't connect. I've used MBAR before and it always copies the folder to the desktop and then laucnhes the GUI. On this computer, it copies the folder and then nothing happens, I can see the process running in Task Mgr but that's it. No messages, no buttons to click. I ran the diagnostics and am attaching them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! p.s. I've already power-cycled router (it works fine with multiple other computers), tested HDD with manufacturer software and third party software, swapped cables and done everything but add a new LAN card.
