  1. Thanks Ron, yes please, this would be really helping out and having the confidence that this will be available in the future is just very good news! Cheers, lazzo
  2. Hi scowndrel, it does not matter if the SQL DB does sit on the same machine or not, without TCP/IP and Named Pipes enabled, you won´t be able to use it at all. Cheers, lazzo
  3. Hi Ron, to avoid any confusion, you need to go to the client itself, to perform this task? There is no option to setup a centralized storage space for quarantined files, from which you could extract them to be reviewed by VirusTotal? With several hundred clients around, that does not seem to be really suitable, are you going to change that anytime soon? Kind regards, lazzo
  4. Hi Stevekal, without being supported, the management server and console can be installed on a 64bit Windows 7, for small environemts that does work, but, and this is a very big but, one of the main differences between client and server systems from Microsoft is the number of network connections it can handle, the limitation is 10 for clients. Considering that, you might end up with a traffic jam on your client machine, acting as the management server. Cheers, lazzo
  5. Hi Scowndrel, had a similar issue and it turned out, that was due to missing patches from Microsoft. When I´ve downloaded and installed all recommended updates and started over from scratch, it just worked fine. Not sure which one of the missing 113 patches caused the issue, but apart from that, I didn´t change anything on the system. It does look like the connectivity to the SQL DB does not work properly, check the settings for TCP/IP and Named Pipes, both are necessary to be enabled! Cheers, lazzo
  6. Hi everybody, due to a corporate policy, we have to verify the files detected and quarantined, mainly using virustotal for that. The clients are installed silently without any indication for the users available, that there is additional security software running. Apparently, the files are quarantined locally on the client and in the client GUI (on my own machine) I can see the path, where to look for the file, but how do I do that for all the other clients? Wouldn´t a centralized quarantine on the management server be much more appropriate for a business product? Do you have some workaround for that? Cheers, lazzo
  7. Not really sure, what the issue with the price is? How many hours do you need to spend to clean a single machine without it? When it does clean the machine properly and reliably, it´s worth the money as it does save a lot of time! If you are going to use it once only, then it is far too expensive, I agree, but usually, there is not just one infected machine around, they generally do come in numbers.
