  1. Nope, that particular machine isn't online anymore. Actually the power supply to it gave out a while ago and I just haven't really gotten around to getting a new one seeing as I don't really need it anyway You're right, I didn't remove/quarantine/repair anything. I just let it be. So I'm fine, but thanks for the extra precaution!
  2. I've had Avira on an older machine before. That particular computer was running XP SP1 I believe and I never got any FPs from that folder. As far as my current computer goes I haven't received any FPs or anything for that matter, other than a warning, but it's safe. Thanks
  3. Haha, thank you, both of you @Kenny, I don't really mind answering any questions so it's no big deal
  4. As of right now I'm listening to Taken By Trees cover of Sweet Child O Mine while I look through my notes for finals next week x_x As far as music tastes go, Nine Inch Nails is my favorite band
  5. Yep, thanks for the notice! Although I think I might stick it out with Avira for a bit, just to try it out and if I don't like it I can always go back to Avast Good idea, yes? no?
  6. Yep, that's exactly what was being detected
  7. I saw the edit Avira is installed now
  8. I'll go with the safe solution and install avira for the time being then Thank you
  9. I've already run the clean up tool Well the Avast forums seem to be down as of right now, but since your friend says they're quick to fix these things I'll tough it out without an av 'till tomorrow and run a fresh install of avast when it's fixed since other than todays incident I'm more than satisfied with Avast I'll stick to OA for any suspicious activity for the time being Thanks for the help
  10. It seems like it's flagging way more than just OA as a virus. I've uninstalled it 'till further notice. Is there any anti virus programs you or anyone here would recommend? Major bug by the Avast team Thanks
  11. Haha, apparently Avasts latest update is conflicting with Online armor. Thanks for your help

  13. The problem started today. Avast labels files that belong to Online Armor Firewall as malware and half the time wont let me login to my computer. It will just cause it to freeze on login. Any idea what I can do about this? Anyone?
  14. Hi, I made a thread a few weeks back asking why that start up entry was just not going away. The problem returned after I was somehow reinfected. I don't think that the problem is malware, seeing as Malwarebytes comes up empty and Avast doesn't pick anything up either. My computer is also running smoother than ever. I've since installed Spyware Blaster, No script, adblockplus, and Online Armor as well. Software conflict at this point? just a glitch? I don't know, you guys are the experts I thought about simply fixing the entry in hjt but decided to ask first. Here's my hjt log.
