"(The program and files have been deleted but this is still there?)" i'm not sure what is deleted or not, i just tried to follow the instructions in this discussion but it's still in the list where you can remove programs. What happens if you try to remove it is the same as before. "i see its also in the remove programs list but when i try to uninstall their is a popup saying the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable etc. when that is closed a different popup says the installation source for this product is not available. verify that the source exists and that you can access it. the program doesnt get removed."

Better but my pc optimizer is still in remove programs list. Also the mouse misses a lot of clicks randomly i don't think the mouse has a problem but i could be wrong. The problem started once the computer got scammed.

i am trying to fix a problem with a computer. some page popped up and locked the browser and had a call number to supposedly fix the problem (i understand its a scam). someone called this number and the person gained access to the computer (literally controled it). i believe a program called my pc optimizer was installed. i used malewarebytes which deleted a bunch of stuff. i see the program was still in the start menu (i deleted this folder) and removed from list. i see its also in the remove programs list but when i try to uninstall their is a popup saying the feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable etc. when that is closed a different popup says the installation source for this product is not available. verify that the source exists and that you can access it. the program doesnt get removed. could use help to this and any other problems this scam may have caused thanks.
