Ok. I mispoke..I meant anti-malware....but the question still stands. Does MB use code injection techniques to do what it does?

I use MB once a week for antivirus. I use Vipre Internet Security for IDS and HIPS, etc. I was running MB today and vipre is notifying me that MB is attempting to do code injection for a variety of programs including chrome. My question is: is this something that is expected? I wouldn't think so, but I am also seeing that chrome is trying to do code injection into sysWOW64/cmd.exe. So, I'm wondering if I'm infected with something that isn't being detected by MB or Vipre. MB found a couple of threats in the registry that weren't there before. However, removing them didn't stop the code injection notices. Any help or ideas? Thank you.
