  1. Hello, I've downloaded something recently which I knew had false positives. The file was apparently safe as I tested it and it ran no new files, didn't add anything in the registry etc and did nothing to the computer. However now, sometimes I get popups from Avast! which say: process tried to execute C:/Document/...blah blah blah .exe Process name: explorer.exe I've checked and there is only one explorer there is 100% not two and its file location is in system32. I don't have the file anymore but I believe Im infected, what do you think this is? This happened before and whenever I opened one program multiple alerts would come up saying Process, svhost.exe tried to start a certain .exe even though the ,exe it was trying to start was not malicious or a stub or anything. It looks like it maybe had injected some code into the system process so it executes the program silently every time explorer runs but Im not sure.
