  1. Ok, ran the fix..... and all the previous programs that i downloaded earlier while i was working on my other computer. Everything is working again. I cleaned out MWB and then installed a new version and it is running fine. thank you for all your help. r, Gus in Vegas
  2. OK, everything appears to be running fine on that computer. Really like the fact MWB's is running again. I would like to fix my second pc. Is it time to start with that one? It's doing the exact same thing as this one was. thanks, Gus in Vegas
  3. done and it installed and ran without a hitch. log below. thanks. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware www.malwarebytes.org Scan Date: 9/19/2016 Scan Time: 5:47 PM Logfile: Administrator: Yes Version: 2.2.1.1043 Malware Database: v2016.09.19.08 Rootkit Database: v2016.08.15.01 License: Free Malware Protection: Disabled Malicious Website Protection: Disabled Self-protection: Disabled OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 CPU: x64 File System: NTFS User: Liz Scan Type: Threat Scan Result: Completed Objects Scanned: 338245 Time Elapsed: 20 min, 39 sec Memory: Enabled Startup: Enabled Filesystem: Enabled Archives: Enabled Rootkits: Enabled Heuristics: Enabled PUP: Enabled PUM: Enabled Processes: 0 (No malicious items detected) Modules: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Values: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Data: 0 (No malicious items detected) Folders: 0 (No malicious items detected) Files: 0 (No malicious items detected) Physical Sectors: 0 (No malicious items detected) (end)
  4. ok, ran everything, no viruses detected. logs are attached. thank you JRT.txt AdwCleaner[C0].txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  5. Ok, ran the frst64. it ran for about 1 minute and locked up. Couldn't terminate the process so i restarted my pc and it didn't continue to run after restart. it did generate a log which i am attaching. additionally, i got a notice that my malwarebytes license is out of date so i know something is working. Additionally, when we are done with this pc, I have a second pc that is acting the same way so we'll have to work on it when we get this one cleaned. thanks, Gus in Vegas Fixlog.txt
  6. comodo firewall was the first things i thought of as i'm having the same problem on both of my windows 7 machines. I have my firewalled turned off now and still can't access ANY MWB updates, whether it be the database, clean program, or check program.
  7. well i have more info now. I got the first two logs now. I have no idea why it is running now. I have restarted my pc a few times, turned off windows update as the host service was high, ran rkill and tdss killer, ran anti spyware and deleted some cookies, and did a virus scan.. Now, I have the first 2 logs and have attached them. However, mbam-check I stll can't download from the page as the connection times out. thanks FRST.txt Addition.txt
  8. yikes, your instructions were very clear but significant problems.....I tried both my browsers, firefox and intenet explorer, neither will load the download page for mbam-clean.exe. from there i went to the diag logs. what a problem. FRST. exe generates at least 5 errors when initially trying to run, after i continue through all the errors and finally run the scan i can see the frst log in notepad....however, it won't save to desktop, doc's, downloads or anything. To get the log, i had to copy the entire log in notepad and rename it WITHOUT FRST in the title and now will save to my desktop.....log 1. I have no idea where the 2nd log, addition.txt saved, doubtful if it saved anywhere. the 3rd log i can't access the download page to run mbam-check.exe. so as for the first log, ive attached the frst log (log1) I've never seen such a strange occurrence in accessing pages, running programs, and saving files. ughh.. I don't know where we go from here. r, Gus in Vegas log1.txt
  9. No luck on this procedure. PC clock is up to date. I can't tell if my license deactivates, but the self protection module does deselect. However, I can't do this step. 'Please download mbam-clean.exe from here to your desktop and save it. 'basically nothing downloads. i don't have my firewall/AV software on....i'm using comodo though thanks, Gus
  10. Hello, i noticed on my computer this morning that MWB show's a red flag on it in the system tray this morning. Says databases out of date. I'm running windows 7, with MWB version 2.2.0.1024, database version 2016.9.14.2 I've tried updating the database - can't access the server. started on the steps to do a clean reinstall. can't access the mbam clean file. this also appears to be happening on another machine i have as well. any help would be appreciated. thank you, Gus in Vegas
