  1. Moments ago I manuallu tried to update MBAM and I continnuously get the same error message after downloading update 2012.4.16.4; PROGRAM_ERROR_UPDATING (5,0, MBAMFileIO::WRITEFile). ??
  2. Sorry for the double post, can't edit the previous one. To be more clear; HTTPS Everywhere has been giving issues with visiting the SSL/TLS variant home page, --https://malwarebytes.org--, since over a month. Only after dissabling the specific rule for the MBAM site, I can visit --http://malwarebytes.org--
  3. Same issue here but only with FF11 and HTTPS Everywhere. That add-on has been giving issues with visiting the home page, http://malwarebytes.org, since over a month. No issues what so ever with vanilla IE9. Vista Ult. x86SP2, (Amsterdam, Netherlands)
  4. The same here (Vista x86 SP2, MBAM 1.60.1.1000 and FF10.0.2 with HTTPS Everywhere 1.2.2) Only by disabling the specific malwarebytes.org rule in HTTPS Everywhere, you can reach the MBAM main page. A tad weird, the add-on doesn't give me any troubles with other sites (sofar) Greets, BiBo
  5. Hi again, (I can't edit my post so here is another one) When having finished a quick scan and added this pum to the ignore list, when I click on 'exit', i get a message like 'A scan is in progress, are you sure you want to exit', while the scan has obviously already finished. Is this a known error/bug or normal?
  6. Hi, lot's of user OS configurations will be non-standard. How does MBAM differentiate between a normal/safe non-standard Windows OS setup and possible changes due to malware? Also, when getting this FP, after I right-clicked and chose 'vendor information', the MBAM home page opened. Am I supposed to look further myself or is this an error/bug? Regards, BiBo.
  7. It's fixed! Thanks nosirrah. Kind regards, BiBo.
  8. Le bump. Is anything else needed to see if this is an FP? Regards, BiBo.
  9. L.S. Since updating MBAM free version to the latest definitions yesterday (and again manually updating just now) one file is flagged as a trojan. VirusTotal comes up with nothing. Attached the MBAM log and the file itself. Cheers, BiBo. utt49.tmp.rar mbam_log_2010_07_28__13_24_15_.txt
  10. Doh! After uninstalling MBAM and running the 'MBAM cleaner.exe' and most importantly, removing all MBAM entries in Online Armor\Programs and OA\Autoruns, the problem was solved. Just now, I've installed and updated MBAM free version and a quick scan is running merrily. While I'm not sure, could an 'old' vbalsgrid6.ocx file in OA\Autoruns have been producing the 703(0,7) error? Anyway, the scan is completed, MBAM and OA both run fine. Cheers. Mods, this thread can be marked as solved.
  11. I think I've found it. With Online Armor's HIPS Features disabled (and a required reboot), MBAM started up (manually) without any issues and updated fine. Did a quick scan, also fine. (Avira AV v.9 free Active guard was enabled). Online Armor Premium's HIPS seems to be the culprit or at least a recent update for it. Maybe you guys can replicate this to make sure? Cheers
  12. Hi, thanks for responding. No, I don't use any memory manager. I've had MBAM installed earlier with pretty much the same software setup as I've got now. Always worked and updated flawless... Is VisualBasic the culprit? p.s. I'm using a PentiumM 1.6 GHz and 1 GB memory.
  13. L.s. On an updated XP SP3 with Avira v.9 free and Online Armor Premium, I get the error code 703(0,7). After MBAM is installed and I either choose update&start, update or do nothing and then manually update, I get the same error code. Both with Avira Guard enabled and disabled. I've also tried setting Online Armor in both learning mode and using the trust/install pop-up options. Also, after each try, I've rebooted and used mbamclean.exe. Still, no luck Any idea what might be the cause or solution because I'm stuck.
