  1. Thank you for the reply. May I ask whether (and if so, how) MBAM 2.0 offers better detection?
  2. Hi Firefox, Thank you for taking the time to reply. I appreciate your kind offer of assistance, but I am happy to wait until version 1.75 is no longer supported. Thank you also for providing a link to MBAM 1.75.1300 on malwarebytes.app.box.com. Please excuse my lack of knowledge, but is that link an official link from MBAM? I ask as I am loathe to download and install software from unofficial websites / links. However, the website malwarebytes.app.box.com may well be officially from MBAM?
  3. Despite a clean install of the MBAM 2.02, and following all tips on the forums, I have chosen to revert back to version 1.75.1300. There is no official link on the MBAM website for this version (at least I was unsuccessful in locating one). Could somebody please kindly post a link from the official site for the older version 1.75.1300? Thanks.
  4. Thank you for the quick response! Newbi3
  5. I do have Avast loaded on my system. Is this therefore a false positive?
  6. Dear Forum, Is this a false positive for the website blocking feature? IP-BLOCK 174.37.222.41 (Type: outgoing) I would appreciate your feedback. Best wishes, Newbi3
  7. Thank you.
  8. Hello All, Is it safe to read about malware and virii on vx.netlux.org Thanks!
  9. Thank you for the assistance. All the best for the future.
  10. Hi Kadah, Thanks again for your reply. The full HJT log is attached in the first post for this thread, and I have reattached it below. Look forward to your reply. Cheers, Newbi3 HJT.txt
  11. Dear Kahdah, Thank you for the reply. I would like to know whether I should fix these entries with HJT. Entry number 7, for example, with 'file missing' is able to be fixed, isn't it? Suggestions, comments or other tips are most welcome. Thanks in advance.
  12. Dear Forum, Could somebody kindly provide any suggestions about my HJT log? I posted this here in this forum, as apparently I posted it in the wrong forum before! :-) http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=64919 Thanks! 14. Thank you all for the responses. Am I correctly assuming that none of you use any such programmes?
  15. Thank you for the response. Of course there have been instances in the past of P2P software containing malware / spyware and viruses. However, I was specifically interested whether anybody had any concrete information concerning Sopcast.
