  1. Thanks guys for telling me! You guys rocks! I got if off the computer.
  2. I was scanning on issues on my registry using CCleaner and I was wondering what is: HKCU\software\AVSS I googled it and I kept seeing about being a trojan. Is it a trojan or not? Malwarebytes, Superantispyware, and McAfee Plus 2010 says I don't have any viruses and trojans.
  3. A strange thing happen. I was just surfing to websites that I always do and a I get a pop message saying that I couldn't receive the message on my Vista. I clicked on it to receive the message and my laptop went to black screen and it showed like some weird light blue screen and it was telling me to install something for IE8. Well I didn't download it and close those windows and it went to black screen again and I was disconnected from the internet. Weird thing is I wasn't using IE8. I was using Firefox. Well since I thought it could be a virus and I check my task manager to see any programs that shouldn't be running and I didn't find anything there. I checked my programs and I found "Absolute Notifier" by Absolute Software and it was installed on 10/29/2010. I've never installed this program at all and I was wondering if it's a trojan or what? Now I think "Absolute Notifier" is a safe program since I googled it and my aunt did told me that my laptop haves a program that if someone stole my laptop and uses it, they can track it. She just didn't tell me what program it was. I guess "Absolute Notifier" just updated itself even though this is the first time I saw this under programs. Now I did have an issue yesterday. Yesterday my AOL mail was hijacked. Well I think it was hijacked since AOL compromised my email saying I sent a lot of spam emails. Well I changed the password and when I checked my email and went to the sent area, it was empty. So I guessed it was hijacked rather than hacked by a keylogger. I checked and did a full scan and Mcafee Antivirus Plus, Malwarebytes, and Superantispyware didn't come up with anything. I also checked the task manager and programs to see if any program that wasn't there before were running, but I didn't find any suspicious files. So I don't think I have a keylogger, but I'm no expert on this yet either. Here's a quick scan log I just ran right now. Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.46 www.malwarebytes.org Database version: 4996 Windows 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18943 10/30/2010 2:38:09 AM mbam-log-2010-10-30 (02-38-09).txt Scan type: Quick scan Objects scanned: 162144 Time elapsed: 29 minute(s), 58 second(s) Memory Processes Infected: 0 Memory Modules Infected: 0 Registry Keys Infected: 0 Registry Values Infected: 0 Registry Data Items Infected: 0 Folders Infected: 0 Files Infected: 0 Memory Processes Infected: (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Values Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Data Items Infected: (No malicious items detected) Folders Infected: (No malicious items detected) Files Infected: (No malicious items detected)
  4. Malwarebytes just finished doing the quick scan. Here's my log. 5. Yeah I try to keep my computer protected to the max. Now also, yesterday my AOL mail was hijacked. Well I think it was hijacked since AOL compromised my email saying I sent a lot of spam emails. Well I changed the password and when I checked my email and went to the sent area, it was empty. So I guessed it was hijacked rather than hacked by a keylogger. Then now this happen with some weird message popped on me.
  6. I have McAfee Antivirus Plus, use Malwarebytes free edition, and I also use Superantispyware free edition.
